throttle cable

I was wondering if anyone on here had tips on replacing the accelerator cable on my 95 Contour SE (2.5L 6cyl.) Any info on how to replace this or links to how-2 sites would be greatly appreciated.

take the old one off...feed the new one through the firewall. Its not hard. I swapped over the SVT upper intake manifold and throttle body and had to swap over the throttle cable as well.

I know that it just goes from the control arm through the fire wall, i was just wondering if it would be a hard fix. also if you have or know of any diagrams for this fix, i would appreciate them. I'm just kinda nervous, i've never done any technical work on this car before.

This is a recall item on some 95-98 models

I have a 98 SE v6. Is there a website or any other place to buy a throttle cable besides the dealer. They want $80.00.
