I've done shocks, brakes and bearing on my 98 2WD. Its pretty easy. Get a repair manual. Its worth its money. Bearings can be done in a couple hours. Inner/Outer and grease seals can be bought for about $60 both sides. While your doing the bearings its an easy time to replace the brake pads. (need to remove the brakes to get to the rotor.) In a nut shell... Remove tire. Remove caliper, Hang out of the way (2 bolts), Remove caliper mount (2 Bolts), remove Rotor (Cover, cotterpin, Lock cover, nut).... bout an hour per side.
