Should I get this? (69 Camaro)

Hey everyone! There is a 1969 Camaro for sale near me and I was wondering if you could tell me if it's a good deal or not. It has a 350 thats bored .30 over with 150 miles on it since rebuild, new custom exhaust, an electronic fuel pump, and a powerglide tranny. It has brand new tires, the front being small VW tires, the back being huge slicks, and it has brand new Crager rims. It has air shocks and has gears instead of a timing chain for some odd reason. It has new quarter panels and the interior is all original and perfect. There is no rust anywhere on the body, it was completely restored. The chrome is perfect and the paint looked good, not great, but then again it was foggy. The asking price is $9,800/OBO. I'm about 90 percent sure I'm going for it, I just want a few other opinions before I, a naive 17 yr old, embark on owning such a classic. Thanks for your responses, Bobby.

P.S. Any idea of how much horsepower this thing would make?

If this post is not a hoax, aimed at stirring the pot, I'll be glad to give an opinion. It sounds quite "fishy" to me...

Why fishy? I saw it in person and it seemed great. The guy had several other projects around and he needs money to move so is selling them all. He was restoring a 40's era coupe and several other cars as well.

My response would have to be don't buy anything in the fog... Did the guy who ons it tell you about all the new things in the car or did you actually get under there looking around and see if for yourself. My advice would be go back on a bright sunny day, look it over again, drive it, and if its legit, go for it... Im with MrPbody though.. this does seem a little fishy in that its almost TOOO good of a deal..

Thanks everyone. I'm going to try to go see/drive it on Tuesday or Wednesday. I know about the gears instead of the timing chain, it had that distinctive whiring noise. I know the electronic fuel pump was there. I looked it over pretty good, under the doors, the trunk, the quarters, no rust at all. It did have air shocks and the tires and Cragers were brand new. So pretty much all of what he said it had, I could see. But, we'll see tomorrow and I'll post my impressions. Thanks again, Bobby
