Is there a way to test or find out if the master cylinder may be goin bad, cuz we have bleed my brakes quite a few times and they just feel soft to me for some reason. Cant figure it out. Or is it just that the Brakes on an LT1 suck.......

maybe someone took out your brake pads and put marshmallows in as a joke.

How far down are we talking ? do you get really close to the floorboard cause if so its most likely a bad master cylinder , air in one of the lines or cracked/broken hose. Also I have done my brakes a couple of times and usually right after you bleed the system for the first couple of days they feel kinda spongey but I asked around and this is normal.

Doesn't sound so much like a joke as try to kill you but you got me good with that one a couple of times now Geno.

I put new pads, slotted rotors, and steel braded lines all the way around, but you know the car stops a lil better now but not like it should, it felt this way even before I changed it all out. If I am at a stand still at idle, I can press my pedal all the way to the floor the car doesnt move but it will go all the way down. And like I said we have bleed it a couple times.....

And the fluid level remains the same in the reserve?

I'm just asking if your sure you don't have cracked or broken hose somewhere that your not aware of because when I had a master cylinder in my Vette go my pedal would go all the way to the floor with very little resistance and the car would take forever to stop almost like there was no braking at all,.

I dont think this is the case cuz i never see brake fluid leaking anywhere. Also like I said the fluid level does not change so im thinkin its the master cylinder...

Well how did you bleed the brakes all those times?
Did you use hand vacuum way? or 2 person , 1 pressing pedal, 1 turning nut way?.

Or is it just that the Brakes on an LT1 suck.......Because air rises the best way to bleed them is by REVERSE BLEEDING..§§§§§§§§§§§§§§§§§§§§§§§§§§§§§§REFUSE TO LOSE§§§§§§§§§§§§§§§§§§§§§§§§§§§§§§
