2000 venture seats

We just purchased a 2000 chevy venture, and we are completely unable to get the third row seats to come out. We can put the seat down, but they seem to be completely stuck. The owner's manual says something about a lock that needs be pushed, but both my husband and I can't find the thing. We've had several people look at it, but they're as much at a loss as we are.... any one have any ideas??

After you fold the seats down, the release to "tip and fold" and eventually remove is on the back of the seat. There should be a latch in the center of the seat (its more of a upward bend in a black bar with a seatbelt type loop of material around it). Pull on the latch and the seat rear hooks will disengage, allowing the seat to "tumble" forward. It can then be jiggled and lifed out.
