Hello all! This is my first time using this forum (never had a problem with my subaru).
The other day I noticed alot of oil leaking from the engine, after further inspection I found the oil was actually leaking from the air filter box. The oil hadnt got into the intake (luckily). I checked the PCV valve and it seems to working fine. All the PCV system tubing is not blocked and seems fine. Any suggestions on what could be the cause of this oil getting into the air filter box? Also, I noticed that the oil filler cap had fallen off, could this cause any dramas?

You didn't give us the motor 1.8 2.2? mpfi? spfi? turbo?
And I'm glad to here it still ran with no oil cap...most of the time they don't.
