Ok, I'll try to make this short, bear with me, two weeks ago
car was running fine, made a 410 mile trip one way, on the way back, about 150 miles into the trip the car start to heistate and lose's power, car dies and sit's on the side of the road for about 15 minutes, starts up runs another 60 miles, does this again, sits for about 15 minutes, then when I go to start it is cough's, misses then starts up. I make it the rest of the trip, pull into the drive, it dies will not start unless I shoot some starter fluid in the breather, So I change the fuel filter, and fuel pump relay, No problem for a week, I make the same trip, the first 410 miles there it is fine, on the way back it does it dies again in the same area, about 250 miles into the trip, for the next 100 miles, it runs 20 miles and dies, sits for 10 minute it is fine for another 20 miles, Finally make it home it is running in the driveway it dies and never starts back up. Pull the filter off it seems clean, put it back on, still won't start, shoots some breakcleaner in the breather, fires right up, won't run unless you mist the breakcleaner in it. Has the fuel pump give up on me?
I unhooked the fuel line that runs into the fuel rail, no fuel would come out when I turn the key on. This is a 2.4 4cyl. any help would be appreicated.

It certainly sounds like the fuel pump needs to be replaced. Sometimes these electric pumps will overheat and start to bind up. When they do that they destroy themselves internally and the only way to fix the problem is to replace the pump. You said you have no fuel at the rail with the key on. This it a pretty good indication that the fuel pump had died a premature death.
