95 apv 3.8 engine other years?

i bought a 95 apv with a blown 3.8 engine...what year engines can i use?will older years work if i use all the sensors and equiptment from the van?does it have to be a van engine?

If that is a Series II 3.8, I think you'd better stick with that, for simplicity's sake. You have the capability to drop that engine cradle out through the bottom? I think that's how they gotta come out on those.
