Headlight fouled

The reflective/prismed portion of my 99 Ltd. 4runner headlamp was fouled by some sort of dirt or blown out headlight prior to me buying it. It is significantly less reflective than the other headlamp. Is it possible to take off the front glass and clean it? It seems like the glass is glued to the rear component.

The only way is to break the seal and try to clean it, if you do not seal it 100% again it will haze up, fill with water and turn out far worse than it is now. I do not recommend pulling a headlight apart, keep your eyes open at the wreckers and pick up a good used one.

I read somewhere that you have to take the headlight out and bake in the oven and then break open the seal with a knife...not worth it in my opinion. Junk yard.

One way is to take out the bulb, then get a long pipe cleaner sort of thing to clean it out. The light bulb opening is small so get something with brissels on a wire, so you could clean it out. Its gonna take a while but its better than nothing. Haven't tried it myself, so not sure if it works, worth a try though.

Try a baby bottle brush. They are soft enough not to scratch but stiff enough to maybe help. Then you could try putting a vaccum hose in the opening and clean it out that way.
