I thought I'd take a break from my usual race cars and try R-M's 1959 Vette. I built it basically box stock, but I did some minor mods. I shaved all the emblem's,door handels, trunk handels, and some chrome trim, I filled the fuel filler door. I changed the intake from the fuel inj setup to a 4 barrel carb. I didn't like the fuel inj, it looked cheap. I flocked the int, and did some basic wiring on the motor. The paint is Tamiya TS 14 Black, and is 24 hours old in these pics. I will polish it out in couople of weeks and finish it up.

Let me know what ya think....I may have to do some more street.

Very nice, very detailed interior and engine, and I love the colour!

Are you doing a two tone colour? , might look good with red combination!

That looks pretty darn sweet! I built the same kit for a customer in red/ white on the sides. BTW I love the engine detail.

Looks great. Not so sure about the digital clock, but the knob and leather boot looks great. Nice job.

Alright!!!! Very nice!!! I`ll be following this thread! How about silver coves? I think they would look great with that red and black scheme. I built one a while back that was white with red interior and silver coves. I was pretty impressed with the kit. What do you think of it so far?

The Kit went together very well. I was pretty impressed for R-M. As far as the coves, I am gonna do the flame decals that came with the kit. I am just using the cove flames, not the hood flames.

Thanks for all the nice comments guys.

Very nice! Are those gauges decals, if so did they come with the kit, or are they printoffs?

Sweetness man, my friend has this kit and is currently contemplating a rebuild of it. I'd buy one just for the killer wheels it comes with.
