best car mag?

hey everybody what do you think is the best car mag ? im looking for one thats more performance stuff and less ricer bullshit. does such a mag exist? i read the article about the 1g talon in a mag awhile back but i forget which is was in.

i kinda like sport compact car, its a little ricey of course, but it isnt anywhere near the level of rice in like import tuner.... but thats just me - they have some pretty good articles in there.

Sport Compact Car is what I subscribe to. They seem to always either have a DSM, a Supra, or an Evo in every issue.

Yes, grassroots is only mag i have ever gotten.

I subscribe to "TURBO & High Proformance", "Sport Compact", "Motor Trend", "Road & Track". I do confess to buying "Super Street" about every month, and an ocassional "Import Tuner". "Turbo" is the best though. They get straight to the point and have tons of how-to's in every issue. Subscribe, you won't regret it.

I also agree that Sports Compact Car is prob the best, but Turbo is good as well. I hate Import Tuner and the other mags; half of it is filled up with rims and mufflers, and the other half is a bunch of ricey civics.

personally I like modified due to their dsm tuning section.

hey i have found an awesome mag for everyone, it is very good for people who are new to cars its call TPR (Tuner Performance Reports) they have a lot of how to and it also has a lot of articles about how to choose the right clutch for you or spark wires, ect. i think they only have like 5 or 6 issues out now but they have recently switched to bi monthly. i really suggest picking one up if you can find it or go to their website. www.tprmag.com (http://www.tprmag.com)

Super Street [just a big fat tuner rag]

Turbo [self explanitory]

D-Sport [just did a feature on Royzgsx from RRE]

Import Tuner just did a pretty major layout switch [actually most others did too] and i like it so far. they have been around for a while and usualy feature very clean cars. mostly on the ''show'' side though...

those are the usual rags laying strewn in with the playboys and hustlers :)
