Headlight repair

I got a 1ga talon, and i my passenger "fake" headlight has the usual yellow fog, and actually there is water in the headlight housing. I've taken the housing out, but right now, i have the single turn signal and fake headlight housing. My question, how do i get the clear lense of the headlight, apart from the turn signal housing, so i can fix it. I've read many FAQS on how to fix the fogging, but no one ever says how to just get the thing apart. Can somebody please give me alittle direction on this, feel kinda stupid because i can't get a headlight apart.

well if i had water in an enclosed space like that id think about drilling a tiny hole somewhere where it wouldn't be seen, and then another somewhere else and blowing into one of them to get the water out, or just letting it dry out slowly..... either way sorry i dun no how to get a headlight housing apart :(

well, the water in there, is because of a hail stone cracking the lens. I want to get the headlight apart, so i can silicone seal the crack up.

in that case i guess id go for a new one..... or hope somebody else in here knows how to take it apart :) sorry i cant help ya

Thanks, i thought there was a easier way, but i guess brute force is pretty much the way to do it. One quick question, after you do all the work, and are ready to put the (cover) back together, should i use any new glue, or will the stuff remaining from the beginning still be enough?? This will be easier on my part, than yours, just because i don't have a headlight there, just a open chamber pretty much. I'll report back when i get the job done, thanks guys for ur help.

no, it is an extremely sticky substance that gets soft and more sticky under heat. just re-heat it upon sealing it up. should be pretty easy.

put the headlight in the oven at about 150 degrees and it will soften the compound holding the headlight together or you can use a hair dryer to soften the glue. THen pull the light apart and do your thing.
