Thanks again for your nice comments, guys :)

Phil, I used Motip polyester putty for the main shape and Tamiya basic putty to smooth everything out.
My guess for the cracking is that Motip was not "grabbing" on to the plastic (I forgot to sand it a little), but I have done so and now everything is looking good. The body is primed and ready to be painted.
I haven't painted it yet because I wanted to try automotive paints, but the initial investment is a bit large: paint, paint thinner, clear, clear thinner and clear hardener all comes up to around €80...
So I think I will just buy Tamiya spray paint and mix my own colour. Let's see what will come out of it...

I'm finally able to show you what has been up with this little coupé :)

It was painted with a mix of TS37 Lavender and TS29 Semigloss black applied with my airbrush. Then I thought I'd give it a little "track-day car" look so I added the white stripes and the white squares. I think it looks quite "racey".
I also machined an new exhaust tip out of aluminum wich looks much better than the original, I think.
It's almost done except for some minor details like all the lights and the front windshield (wich I ruined with CA glue but managed to save it..eheh)

Anyway, here are the pictures.

Maybe it be ImolaEK. Don't give up. I'm very bad at modelling at the moment, but the practice makes perfection, don't they say?? (At I least that's what I hope :-D)

SEE YOU

Thanks Joeham!
I'm really proud of that paintjob. Not a great colour, I know, but I think it matches the interior pretty good.
I must tell you, I'm really loving my airbrush. I can't paint with a brush anymore.. I even love cleaning it!! It must be some kind of desease...maybe spidereddie can describe it!

Thanks guys. It's these comments that keeps me going!

If you are worried about wall detail being lost when using the stock tire. Then just sand down the inside wall since it will not be seen.
:screwy: no not stock look make your body wide with the deep wheel brims Willmo has the pics to show you how. I'm working on one to But my car has a small block V8 in it. :evillol:
