I purchased a turbo kit for my 5th gen prelude that was previously on a prelude sh. i took it to a performance shop and they said it will cost about $2500 for installation...hah, that cost more than what I bought the setup for. How much did any of you guys pay to get it installed? I have a friend who works at a dealership and he says he would install it for me if I had instructions...which I don't. Know where I could obtain them? i been searching on yahoo for them for a hour straight but no luck.

No Instructions, fabrication!

Nothings more fun than doing it yourself. Find someone who has installed a Turbo's on Honda's before and do it yourself. Just make sure they know what they are doing. Good Luck.:)

If you want your car to live, I'd reccomend having someone that knows do it. If you don't know what you are doing, don't even attempt this yourself. There's more than just bolting it on. You have to go through the process of testing, tuning, and diagnostics. I'd pay to have it done right.

If you DO insist on doing with someone who knows how to, HCI has an Article this month with step by step instructions on how to install a H22 Turbo kit.

Installation is actually the easy part, tuning is the trickier part. The stock ECU was not programmed (or even capable) of understanding boost so when it sees that there is pressure it starts messing up.
