How about this shine!

I know the hood is tilted, that's the effect I wanted, and there isn't a side mirror. Don't worry, it'll be on before the NNL's in Toledo.
Oh and I forgot to mention, this car is for my neighbor. My best finish to date and I have to give her away. :frown:

Looks great, nice finish...something to be proud of. But, how come there's always this but? you should try to push the ignition wires down a bit so the hang like the original stuff. It looks a bit wierd with the wires like that. Just my two cents. Otherwise a truly nice piece, are you sure you cant sneak it away and keep it for your self?

Thanks for the tip, I'll give it a try.
I really don't have any painting secrets. I removed all flash from the body, sprayed flat grey primer, wet sanded out the rough spots, base coat and wet sand (x2), clear and WS (x2), polish with Detail Master polishing kit, and wax. That's all.

Stuning paint job! Nice detail also except for one thing that bothers me: the antenna looks a little thick.. mayby you could replace it with some sort of needle or something..
And BTW: did those door handles come as separate pieces or did you open them up your self--looks good..

Thanks for the kind words everyone! I agree, the antenna is a little thick so I guess I'll replace that. The door handles and windshield wipers were seperate and not molded.
I really enjoyed building this kit, as the majority of parts were seperate. The engine block, oil pan and tranny were seperate which makes painting easier.
My neighbor doesn't know this car is complete. I still have a few more shows to take it to before I sell her. I'll make the minor changes and post pics later. My neighbor actually drives a 1966 Pontiac LeMans, almost the same body style minus the V8.
