Please Tensioner Pulley Help

I cannot get my tensioner pulley back in the slot that it came out of. I just installed a new Alt and belt and Pulley, and Now the little groove will notfit back into the slot.
Anyone have a diagram

I already had a new belt on. When i installed the tensioner pulley back on trhere was a slot wher there was a groove for it to go in but it was at an angle and the belt ould not even. I will try my old pulley and belt today to see it that works. What elese can I do?

i Don;t have a camera.
Also i found out what was wrong. I needed to torque the tensioner pul;ley back to put tension on the belt. The Guy at Kragen told me waht i neeeded to do now its working fine.

Sounds as if you were attempting to install the tensioner along with the belt at the same time. "Ain't gonna happen"
