Im thinking of purchasing a 5th gen prelude and I was wondering if I should stick with a lighter base model and buy a LSD for it or shell out the extra cash for the Type SH with the Torque Transfer system?
I want it to handle like a beast :grinyes:

It depends on the amount of horsepower your planning on running. ATTS stops working at about 300 whp, and has trouble keeping up as you approach that number. I'd say go ATTS if you plan on only mildly modding it. Go Quife (get a Quife if you do get a LSD) if you plan on turboing or making a N/A beast. But that's just my opinion.

I've heard the same things, so I'd have to agree with Prelude707.

If you are Autocrossing, Type SH might actually be a better car for you. If you have a limited slip differential on a base car, you get thrown into the modified class which pits you up against various nasties. Stock class is a sinch.

I truely enjoy my ATTS. Although I have never driven a car with LSD. I guess some of it will depend on what kind of a deal you are able to find on an SH or a base. The weight difference isn't a huge difference IMO
