Im putting together my 90 lazer RST. I wanna keep everything "stock peices" from some DSM or rather. What are the best things off of what year ?
Im using
90 block ( external oil cooled)
2g o2 housing
2g turbo manifold
1g BOV
looking for a 92.5 - 94 head ( was told its the best head on DSMS)
am i missing anything?
any info is appreciated.. THANKS!

The later 1g heads are no different than the earlier ones, except in the stud holes perhaps. The stud size dropped from 12mm for 6 bolts to 11mm for 7 bolts. Not sure if they dropped the hole size too, but it is smaller on the 2g heads and you have to have a machine shop take out the holes 1mm. The cams in the 90s are worse than the 91-94 MT though, and 2Gs are a tocuh smaller than those even. Auto cams were small as well, but might just be 90 cams used through 94, not sure.

Might I ask why you want to keep stock parts? If I were you, I would run either the stock turbo or a 16g and use almost all the parts you have now. maybe a ported 2g manifold, o2 housing etc... but it would be cheaper to run a 16g on a stock setup than a 14b on a mix and match, and make less power.
