5th Gen short throw shifter install

I have seen info on how to install an STS, but I was wondering how to remove the section of the console in which the shifter is located???? In otherwords does it just lift up (like 3rd and 4th gen) or is there something else???

yeah, just lift up the piece and it will pop out.
