Well, I have a 96 Cobra and its become a concern of mine, the oil pressure guage is now on the edge of normal and in its way to where I'm going to be introuble soon. I'd be pissed if I blow my engine or some internals get screwed up. My friend said his friend is a machanic and could do some checks on the engine. It could be a clog, oil filter, or just the guage is screwed up. Do you have any advice on what to do or what else it could be or most likely is :frown: ?

The old pumps that comes with our mustangs have some fragil internal parts. But, it does not loose pressure slowly. When it breaks, it's broke. I would suggest you replace the sensor, and flush your engine a few times. Also you ARE using 5w-20 right?..........
I'm using the motorcraft oil filter, they do a better job than the rest of them out there. I will be converting to a By-Pass oil system soon thou. That might be a option for you.

I use Wix oil filters they have a foam filter instead of paper like the motorcraft uses you might want to run some 10w-40 in it, how many miles are on it

its low, for at least a 96 cobra, it has 61,000 miles on it
