Can the 3000GT vr4's make power as easily as the 2g DSM's can?

dont know about the dsm's but a vr4 can reach 400hp very easily with next to no $$ spent at all.
if you threw say $3000 at one you are looking in the region of 500hp plus depending on what route you go down so i would say yes it is quite easy to tune a vr4. there is an old thread on here showing a vr4 doing a 10.75, have a look at that and you will see our potential

There are many DSMs running much faster then the fastest VR4s. If you're looking for the queen of the track between the two, then the VR4 is not your lady. This is due mainly to the commonality of the DSM. There are a lot out there and subsequently, there is more aftermarket support.
If you aren't sinking in thousands of dollars into mods, the VR4 takes little to get to 400+hp as Brian has said and that gets the times down into the high twelves.
