84 accord idle problem

I have a 1984 accord with a srtick shift tranny and it's carberated. When i was fussing with the alternator i accidently pulled the vacuum line off the idle air soleniod valve were it connects to the motor. Immediatley after that the car started idling high, around 2000RPM. It idled perfectly fine before that. I couldn;t find where it was supposed to plug into so i drove it for a couple of weeks like that until i finally found out where the line went but when i plugged it back in the car still idled high. I am positive i plugged it into the correct place because the emission diagram under the hood says that is were it's supposed to be. The car has idled at about 2000 RPM until recently when it has jumped to 2500, then 3000, now it's at 3500RPM. I have no idea what it is. I have searched for other loose vacuum lines but i cannot find any. The motor runs to loud to listen for vacuum leaks. Any suggestions would be appreciated. Like i said the car idled perfectly before i pulled that line off the first time.
