I have a 1991 Stealth R/T TT last year i was driving looking for a gas station that was open during tha black out. well a car ended up pulling infront of me which i hit him on his driver side and my passenger side was smashed up intercooler and such was ripped right off my car the other car was a brand new exployer which had very lil damage to it so i had tha car towed and was all fixxed well one proble i have had ever since was that the anti-lock brake light stayed on all the time the anti-lock seem to be working just fine no problems at all with the brakes just i hate to see the light on all the time cause it makes me think my brakes might just go out.I have tha paper which tells me what dodge replaced for the brakes they installed a new ecu, found that they was a faulty hydraulic i was told that was replaced to says they bleed tha brake system........ i brought tha car back to the dealership because i guess they had to get a special code reader for this car and nuthing came up for any codes or problems so idk what else to do now.....if u anyone has any idea it would help thanks....

its probably a faulty abs sensor on on the wheel you clumped. you have an abs sensor on each wheel. you can test them yourself with an ohms meter. test each one and look for a noticable different reading between them all, one of them will read different to the others and that will be the one thats faulty.

Yes but you need to buy a new sensor which can be expensive around $150 i should think might be worth trying a breakers yard for a second hand one.
once fitted the light should go out.

I agree with BB, my friends Tiburon had the same problem and it was the sensor. in his case it was loose so we simply re-installed it. geeeze $150 for a sensor is kinda rought though!

slam on the brakes at 100, no abs and your ront tires will distroy them. but you will leave some of the longest "burnout" marks on the road anyone has ever seen.

crash against an Explorer and after you fix the damage if the ABS light comes on then you have ABS!

What trims (dodge and mitsu) came with ABS?

I think most cars didnt start getting them till like late 80's early mornings?
Edit:\
I'm tired. Meant early 90's thought you said years, probbly all the trims 92+ had ABS, as it was pretty common after that, this is just a slightly educated guess tho.

check for some badging that would say ABS, probbly on the dash, if it isn't there you probbly don't have it.
have an owners manual? it'd tell you.
or go to one of those car facts sites, I'd do it now but I'm a lazy bastard

yea, i looked in my manual and the ABS part said (if eqquipped) so im still not sure... where would it say ABS? would it be one of the light up words on the speedometer?, i dont know if that would help any... they prolly put the same gauges in all the models, abs or not

Most cars I've seen either have a badge on the back of the car (Example: Minivans) On the dash/dials, lightup or in plain white letters, or on the brake pedal, or check for the sensor.
Hope that might help, Someone said where the sensor is (I forgot) but do as he said, if it's there then you have it, otherwise you don't.
Or you can just try braking hard, if You feel the pedal kind of "throb" you have ABS, if it locks your wheels and you lose traction, you do not have ABS.
