headlight relay?

Can anyone tell me if the '80's S-10 Blazers used headlight relays? I pulled a headlight switch out of one in a junk yard for my '64 monster Jeep project, but not sure what I need to get it right. Thanks.

I imagine that you want to make your headlights brighter. If I'm right then the best way to acomplish this is just buy 2 relays from a parts store. They don't cost much.

Then wire it into the wires at the headlights themselves.

It's an easy job, and should take you less than an hour really increasing the light, and light switches last longer.

I think he is just wanting to get the system running and not making it brighter.

That's right, the lights seem quite bright as is. But I have no way of knowing if the switch is designed for that much current. If it was designed to be used in tandem with a relay, it will burn out quickly. I haven't left the lights on for more than a few seconds, since this is a concern.
