Disc Brake Conversion

I want modify my 65 GTO (clone) for disc brakes.I have a list that says i can use the parts from a 72 chevelle/ El camino...i just had a friend tell me he has a 73 El camino that has disc brake setup.We both think the setup looks so much like a 72 or earlier...but i cannot find any sources to confirm that the 73 setup would work.Can anyone give any pro or con input? I'D REALLY LIKE TO FIND SOURCES TO HELP ME FIND WHAT IF ANY DIFFERENCE THERE IS BETWEEN THE 72 AND 73 SETUPS.

The '69-'72 A and G-body spindles, brakes, and hardware all fit the '65. '73-up will not, without modifications. The easy way to tell is the method of attachment of the steering arm. The '73-newer spindle is a one-piece forging. The '72-older has the steering arm bolted to the spindle.

There's a lot of info on the web about this. I did my 71 Skylark, but I got the parts from another Skylark. I think the 68-72 A-body stuff is all the same and will bolt right on. I think the 73+ stuff has smaller holes in the spindle for the ball-joint and it won't work. Here's a link that I used: http://macc.chevelles.net/drm2dsk.htm .

I also did the swap on my 69 Firebird. I think that is X-body. I used Nova stuff for that and it bolted right on.
