He is not going to be stopped anytime soon, he was promoted a short while back. I think although the designs are so different that when the whole family of BWM shares them over time they will become more attractive as the Bimmer lovers calm down a bit. I personally like the 5 and the upcoming 3 and 4 and you can't say the Z4 isn't a better looking car than the Miata like Z3. . .the 6 and 7? Maybe he got a TAD carried away.

OK i will give you the Z4. It is a pretty good looking car. There is a company out in Cali that has a sweet mod package for it. I think the company is Renntech but I am not sure. I think you are probably right about the cars looking better once the whole fleet shares the styling. I don't think I will ever get used to it but it will be more barable when they all share the look.

I admire Bangal for his adventurous designs. It brings some much needed flair and enthusiasm to the german car scene! Without him, there would be no difference of oppinion, granted I don't like the X3, but from the outside, the 7 series is a decent looking car, the 5 series is certainly a bold and different design, and I find the 6 series utterly stunning!

So your just gonna give up like that? Your not even optomistic about it? Hey you know what, Bangle will probably not get fired but a least when his next deformed creation hits the streets I can at least say I voiced my opinion . If you have signed a petition before then do it again. It will let people know that your mind isn't changing and your not going anywhere. Don't just play dead. At least give it a shot! If this petition fails then I will just sign the next one. And if that fails then I will just sign another, and so on and so forth. You get the picture. You are not going to suddenly disappear is you speak out against Bangle, so do it.

You are absolutly right. They are selling cars and according to Ec243 online petitions don't work, so what are u worried about? There are people who like Bangles's designs but there are also people that don't and I am trying to give these people the opportuity to speak out against it. If you don't want to then fine. Its just a shame b/c BMW still has great engineering and performance but now they don't look like a BMW. My grandma can look at the new C6 and say " thats a corvette" but with the new BMWs you have to look several times before you figure out that its not a Japanese car. If u don't want to sign the petition then fine but it just seems stupid to get all worked up about it. I am not insulting your styling skills am I? Unless of course you are Bangle himself in which case you should promptly fire yourself. Have a nice day everyone.

There are hundreds of car comunities like this one, where people express their opinions on issues such as this. We like to talk and exchange our points of veiw but we don't try to change things.

I'm not worried at all, because I know that the most damage you will cause, is a minor itch on the finger of an industrial giant. And if you realise that online petitions don't work, why are you wasting your time?

I suggest that if you don't like bangals designs, then you find one of the many threads that are discussing the topic, and voice your oppinions. Don't attempt to waste our time. Most people on here, will not be interested.

Design is allways a question of taste - you have to remember that BMW is a European car, and design is, and have always been, sort of more "agressive" here - some marks are more prone to this, like Alfa Romeo, Saab, Citroën among others. Some designs fit in just at once - like the BMW E34 did when it came - not being too agressive. The later years I think BMW has decided to enter more into this "club" and I think this is done by purpose and is surely the decision of more than one man. As someone said here - maybe we should give this design some time before we gets too carried away yelling at Bangle...

However, as others of you are saying, I also find some of them better looking than others, but what really concerns me are all the electronics newer BMW's are stuffed with wich seems to give a lot of the owners headache -frightening just to see all the threads in this forum! My last car was a -86 520i (E28) - no electronics at all, only the rock solid old Motronic - no problems. Now I have an -89 520i (E34). Handpicked without electronics -mechanical windows, sunroof, seats -no onboard computer etc. The only electronics I have is the central locking - already given me problems two times during the one month I have had it...

Do we actually need all this stuff to drive comfortably around in our BMW's or are we better off without???

After the Bangle bashing is done, we can concentrate on the moron who came up with i-Drive.
