Daytime running lights intermittent

I'm constantly having to mess w/ the running lights on my '01 XL. When I get into them to replace the lamp, the socket looks all dark and burned, but the lamp is fine. I just reseat it and it works. Anybody else experiencing this?

I had this issue on our 2002 Yukon. Im not sure what the actual issue was but they fixed it under warranty. On ours it was the drivers side running light. Hasnt been a problem since then.

However, while out and about, I notice other yukons with a running light out at least once a week.

Its definately a recurring issue for this series although apparently GM hasnt release a bulliten on it...
