Hello, just having a darn problem with overheating..or actually..the fans not comming on when they should. The relays check out good..the temperature sensor checks good, and both fans come on when you turn the A/C on, and also when you hook up a hand held computer to the car the fans can be turned on manually and it cools the car right down. The hand held computer shows the temp of the engine (which means that the car's computer is actually reading the temperature from somewhere) but when idling or not moving fast enough temps climb over 212 degrees the fans do not come on whatsoever. We havent tried changing the low level coolant sensor yet. Ive read this could help..not sure why lol. So where is this sensor located?
I dont know if this will solve the problem but id like to try it anyways. Dad thinks it could be the car computer itself..but im not so convinced. Any other ideas?..thanx guys.

The factory switch doesn't turn the fans on until 230 degrees, (+ or - 10 deg) so there may not be anything wrong. The low coolant switch is in the passenger side radiator tank just below where the trans cooler line goes in. It's a little square box about 1 1/4" square.

Hey..thanks for the information. 230 degrees eh? that sounds a little late for the fans to be comming on..but it could be. i thought it was supposed to be 212..hmm. oh wells. does the low level coolant sensor (or switch..whatever it is lol) really have anything to do with turning the fans on and off? I guess what im saying is could changeing that fix my problem? sorry..i konw im just full of dumb questions lol..thanx again.
