still smoke?

I have a 96 mitsubisgi eclipse rs and just had the lower part of the engine redone(head gasket, timing chain, waterpump.) and its still smoking. What can i do?

did you have the piston rings, valve seals or any of that bs replaced? sound like its burning light amounts of oil and its not comming out thick and looking grey... you notice it loosing a bit of oil here ad there? peace

if the car was put together right it will smoke anywhere from a couple hrs to a day... i know my car smoked for a good day before i noticed it was gone, i guess thats what happens when you use a complete qt of ATF and a good amount of assembly lube! :lol: i made sure there would be no part that wasnt lubed besides the back side of the bearings so they wont spin.
now if they just did a headgasket replacement then you probably still have water/moisture in the exhaust, go beat on your car a little, high RPMs get that exhaust cleaned out! check all your fluids first to make sure they are all at optimal level and make sure there are no fluids mixed... WATCH your temp gauge! good luck
