Im coming up on 100k miles on my 1997 Q45. I've always done work on my cars myself, but i must say that i am not that familiar with the Qs. What should i plan on doing for a 100k tune up? Plugs? WIres? fuel filter? Trans fluid/filter? Dealer only parts? Where to buy?

Also, just recently my car has developed a random shake at idle while in gear. Only happens once in awhile. It is a sudden shudder and then its gone. WIll only do it while in gear and only happens a couple of times when driving. Any ideas? I though maybe it was the AC compressor cycling on/off, but it does it with the system off also.

Thanks,

Brian

Clean the intake path, change the PS fluid, differential and coolant, add a ATF cooler, clean IAC and EGR valves/hoses. Probably replace shock absorbers.

Get parts from www.everythinginfiniti.com and a manual and TSB (there are a ton of them) from www.nissan-techinfo.com/infiniti/ .

Sparkplugs (OEM NGK only!!) from Wes at www.Q45.org or on the NICO board at www.nicoclub.com .

Boddy, I got the same problem.
Doesn't it seem to worsen on a rainy day?
That stumble/hesitation happens either at idle, or at slight throttle going uphill, doesn't it?
I am fighting with it.
So far ne MAF, new FuelFilter, t-stat.
I am using BG44K to clean fuel system a bit.
So will se who wins!
