i think they both did a crappy job. it was a borathon of the same stupid talking points.

Think Bush didn't do so hot. He's a horrible public speaker, however I did like that he was able to shut Kerry down a few times.

Is this a fucking game show? A stop light? how about this be an actual debate where they can talk to each other, that would be cool hu? Talking to each other, isn't that sort of required to get into a debate? Just my opinion.

I think their membership in the Skull & Bones kind of shown through. It looked as though each wanted to go that extra step, rules or not, and probably would have if they did not have their secret brothership. But yes, both were very boring. I'm just glad I only caught the last 15 or 20 minutes.

The format and rules created/agreed upon by both candidates was incredibly restrictive. It was fine for what it was. And for what it's worth, I thought Bush's remarks seemed very candid and plainly spoken, which will echo well with the average man. Kerry blew him out of the water intellectually, however...

it's not how you say it, it's what you say. i thought bush carried himself well. not well enough compared to kerry.

it wasn't really a debate. it was a side by side photo op. i really hope the next ones are better.

close debate but i think kerry did better no doubt. It is important to keep in mind, though, both candidates knew the exact questions that they were going to be asked, so most of what you were really hearing is what had been recited and combed through by both administrations before hand
