ok heres the situation... my friend is getting a new 2002 honda accord coupe. he is putting in it an alpine head unit with cd player and pop-out lcd screen, indash dvd player, all mb quart "Q" series interior speakers, 2 12w7 in a custom enclosure and 3 1 farad caps. powering the interior speakers is going to be a 500.4 jl audio amp and the w7's will be powered by a 1000.1 jl audio amp. now i know with this kind of power that i will need a whole mess of power. im already certain that i am going to put a optima yellow cap in but i need to know if i will need a second battery in the trunk. if i do how many amp alternater will i need, will the new alternator fry any circuts in the on board computer, and how do i relocate a second battery.... any input will be greatly appreciated.

thanx,
bb

i had over 2000 watts in my 93 civic with no extra battery and no capacitor. it never ran the battery down. i think it was cuz the civic was pretty much stripped so it was the only thing drawing power. but anyway u might not need anything at all.
