Slight hesitation

When I first start my 99 5.3 Silverado I get a slight hesitation when I give it the gas. It only happens at this time and runs fine afterwards. I left work today and just as expected there was that little hessitation on cold start and then that god damn Service Engine light popped on. Haven't read the code yet but has anyone ever had this kind of thing happen?
Thanks.

Yes I have had that happen. I am still troubleshooting the cause though. This is not my daily driver, so I am not to worried about it at the moment. I did look today to see if I could figure it out, but to no avail. When I hook up my code reader, I get a code of P0357. (Primary/Secondary ignition coil G malfunction) "G" I believe stands for cylinder 7. I did all the troubleshooting that my HAYNES manual states to do and it pointed me at my camshaft position sensor. I didnt have the time to check this today, and it started to rain. So I will have to check this another time.

My 01 8.1 has the same cold start hesitation for like 1 second after I start it and hit the gas. And I checked codes a while back, and it came up with some sort of position sensor. I also have trouble starting sometimes. It just cranks with no attept to fire, then it just starts fine 10 seconds later. I wonder if my starting problem and cold start hesitation are the same problem?
