Springs and whatnot

Ok, I was going to save the $3000 i have left over from buying my 240 to buy a CBR or a GSXR "crotch rocket". But now dad is really strongly opposing it and has offered to take me to the muffler shop in town and get the cat. conv. "knocked off", new pipes, and a new muffler. It would prob be a knockoff muffler...but its all good for now.
Anyways, to my point. I dont really wanna spend half of my money on coilovers but i want to get new springs and shocks. should I buy:
HKS SF5 w/the tokico adjustabe shocks
Tanabe Sustec GF210 w/ " "
or buy the really cheap TEIN coilovers...the ones that are like 500-700 bucks? Any advice on any of these springs and stuff...Holla

BTW...i want the stiffest setup possible. Anything more suited for road racing, Autox, DorIFto type stuff. Im not a poser by the way, just a poor squirrel searchin for a nut.

Drag(Street) racing sucks...It takes little/no talent to drive really fast in a straight line. Count me outta that.

Well you do need to shift really good. Drag is to show how good your engine/setup is. I personally like drifting, autoX. The suspension I would choose woul probably be tein, but not the cheapest once. Even though all of their products are high quality. Go to their website and see what purposes coilovers do they have.

Im prolly gonna save for SPLs (1100$) but if i didnt Id get KONIs and some Kg/mm Springs.

Stiffest isnt always best, especially on the stock wheels. If i were you id stick with just the KONIs or Tokicos so you'll be able to stay in the stock class in autocross. (Corvette > lowered 240) then you can get springs when you figure out what you want to do with the car.

i dont have much beef with TEINs but theres no way in Hell id buy a 600 dollar set of coilovers. plus they seemed to be advertised toward ballas who just want to slam their car. :gay:

Ahh...screw the slam...i dont really care about ride height, besides the point that center of gravity is lower. I just want excellent handling for the not so much money im gonna spend. So i guess shocks and the Tanabes or HKSs are lookin good. Or would it end up costing about the same to do the shock/spring as it would to save and get Tein HEs some other $1200 coilovers?

i think the basic damper kit is just a cunt hair below 1 grand...but you get what you pay for so.....just depends on what you really want the coils for i guess.
