I'm looking to find a vacuum diagram for a 1989 Jeep Cherokee Pioneer 4.0 liter, seems the previous owner had his or her own idea as to where the hoses went. Stalls when cold. Any help would be appreciated.

The vacuum diagram was great. My question is....does it matter what size hose or tubing you use? Vacuum is vacuum as long as you have it sealed/close system right?

Well, theoretically vacuum has to build up. The wider the internal diameter the longer vacuum has to build. I haven't tested the system with different sizes. When I replaced my vacuum tubing near the battery on my cherokee I used plastic brake line of similar diameter to the original. Some part houses won't carry it so I had to look around and brought part of the line with me. If I recall its real thin line like an 1/8 inch or so.
Hope that helps.

As long as it fits the connector tightly it shouldn't matter. What Viper says is true but I think you'd need a pretty significant increase in inside diameter to have any effect. By then, you'de never get the end to close on the fitting.
However, with correct size, you can just push the end of the hose over the fitting and not require any kind of clamp.
