Resistence

If I wanted to hook up 2 subs that are 4 ohm to an amp that has 1 channel and want to keep the total resistence at 4 ohms, how would I wire that? Or would I need a two channel amp?

You can't keep a 4 ohm sub with a pair of single 4 ohm subs... Why would you want 4 ohms?

They are dual 4 ohm subs. So what amp would I need to push these.

What is their rms? How much money do you have to spend?

They are 400 rms each and I have about $350 before shipping on the amp.

I would go for the first class d amp that you can find that is 800 rms at 1 ohm :)

Why would I get an amp that is 800 rms at 1 ohm when the subs are 4 ohms. The less the resistence the less base there is right.

THESE ARE DUAL 4 ohm subs. wire the sub parallel 2 ohm loads each and then wire both parallel together 1 ohm :)

So would that be as loud and have as much bass as if it were wired at 4 ohm.

that looks like a nice amp, I've heard some very good things about the HCCA amps

Give me some links to what you think would be the best. I want mad bass, and something that would fit in my integra hatchback. Looking to spend as little money as possible but willing to spend a little more for a good system.

I would get a single SX 15 ported and get that amp or possibly a nine.1
