Startup chokes after sitting a few days

Sometimes I don't use the pathfinder for a few days. At first startup the engine sounds like someone clearing their throat. Once the engine is warm it runs perfect and starts perfect for the rest of the day. If I use the car every day it starts perfect and doesn't make the noise. Is there a choke sensor? (Replaced the oxygen sensor recently so that should be okay.) Thanks.
