shaving emblems

ok i have searched through all the posts and cannot find any post on shaving emblems. can anyone give a how to on this. i have a 00 civic ex, i know that the H, Civic, and Ex emblems are attached using riviots that create wholes in the body, but would i just fill that in with bondo, and sand and paint?
Also I heard that shaving the side moldings by just filling in with bondo will warp the bondo and make the side look like crap is this true?

Take it to the body repair place or somewhere where they specialise in body repair and they will remove the badge, sand the area, fill the holes with quality lead filler, sand the area and paint.
Or you could do it yourself of course.

the civic, and the ex are on with double sides tape, can be romvoed easily with hair dryer and floss, then gasoline to remove the excess goo
the h is the same way except it will leave two holes

well if they are just badges, get a hair dryer, heat it, then take a knife and cut the sticky stuff, and peel it off slowly so u dont pull paint, after that i would recommend taking a cloth, putting o na decent amount of rubbing acohal and scrubbing to get the rest of the gunk and sticky stuff off, after that its clean, dont you gasoline it some times strips the paint.

this is how i shaved my emblems when there was holes in my body. I took the emblem off the i removed all the sticked stuff with goo gone. Then i took bondo filler and went over the holes with it then let it dry, then there may be some uneven spots in it so do another layer of bondo. then sand it down. if there is air holes then use spot puddy to fill the air holes. as you sand it work your say up in snad paper so start with 100 grit, then 200, then 400, then a very high grit to get it really smooth. Then i took my car to a body shop and had it painted. butif you dont want to spend the money on getting it painted then just remove the emblem and stick stuff and leave the holes, they arnnt that obviouse...
