One really good tip, read the FAQ at the top, any thing that is highlighted in Red at the top of the forum are things that every one should read before asking any questions on here.

Welcome to AF, injecting
What exactly are you looking for, online stores? Which part of the world are you in?
Yeah the FAQ and Tutorial Depository should keep you busy for a while. After that let us know how you go!

Does the FAQ tell you where you can buy models? I never knew that.

Yes the FAQ does.

If you look closely it has secret codes in it that have predicted the outcome of every presidental elecction for the past 30 years, predicted 9/11, told us all about hitler, saddam, and all the hurricanes for the 2004 season.

I get my models from space. I have a really bright light, halogen type, you know? And I flash it in special Alien Code and then in a couple weeks (SAL; Space Air Lift, it's slow) the hairs on the back of my neck stand up and I hear a low crackling sizzle and a hum and then a big blue light comes through my window and my cable goes out. If I run outside, I'll find a stack of kits sitting on my lawn! That's where I get my kits. PM me if you need the Alien Code.

Now, now children we were all newbies at some time, some of you before there were any FAQ'S to search, I myself have to own up to not reading every last question and answer in the FAQ so give the newbie a break, a simple answer would have surficed.
' Injecting ' please at least browse the FAQ, then if you cant find the answer then ask.

Hey come on, I don't think anybody has been brutal. The FAQ has the answer to the original question. Fact is, a lot of work went into the FAQ. It predates my joining AF and I give major kudos to Jay and the others who created it - there was a huge amount of work involved. Why should we not point people towards it? It contains the answer to injecting's question and much, much more besides. The time taken to have a quick search is actually a lot less than it takes to compose and send a post! If further elaboration is needed then by all means start a thread.

Below is a direct link to the section of the FAQ dealing with online stores (took about 15 seconds to find). Sure it is just the tip of the iceberg, if injecting wishes to further elaborate on exactly what he is after then I’m sure somebody will be able to give a more precise answer.

Read it and tell us if it's not relevent.

Well look around and see what everyones first taste of AF is. They always get attacked or mocked for not reading the faq , yes its relevant. Yes its useful and so is the HowTo , thanks Jay and everyone else.
But would it hurt anyone to give a noob a warm welcome? How about "Welcome!" " I get mine here .........
and you will find more links and plenty of other info in the faq, here's the link. And by the way check out the How To section also "
Just a little food for thought

I agree 100%

I assume the faqs were made to save bandwith by avoiding unnecessary threads, yet some zealots around here seems pretty anxious to put down new users who didn't notice the faqs, these guys aren't any better because they waste space ON PURPOSE with their comments.

How about writing a FAQ on how to be an ass? Some users here might be quite good at writing one.

Okay, end of off topic discussion. I would hope that people pointing new members towards the FAQ are trying to help in doing so. I see little merit in further bashing of anybody.

If we haven't scared injecting off by now, maybe he could reply and tell us exactly what kit(s) he is after. It's the only way we can get this thread back on track.

Can anyone give me a link to a site where i can get a model engine for a rx-7 if needed im me on aim.Into which engine-less kit were you planning on putting one?

Short answer:
Like the 'Kid says, Tamiya kit 24116 has the 13B turbo motor. (NOTE! Tamiya kit 24110 does NOT!) Also, Tamiya kits 24060 and 24074 for the FC Turbo II and vert both have full engine detail, but unfortunately, both are out of production.

The old Monogram SA (first gen) Rx-7 has motor details, too.

Everything you ever wanted to know about RX-7 model kits, but were afraid to ask:

http://www.xs4all.nl/~erix7/erx7modl.html

:bigthumb: to Eric. Seems like he's got it up to date at least through the Fujimi RX-8 releases...

Well welcome injecting,

First off I would like to agree the FAQ's are very useful. Also since he posted a question I think instead of wasting post's flaming him we should guide him to the FAQ's for next time and answer his question. That way we dont have another thread started of usless info. With that off my chest lol, here are some sites I use.

www.Best1hobby.com
www.ebay.com
www.hlj.com
www.1999.co.jp
www.imageanime.com (also a great source for anime)

Those should be a good starting point and some are not in the FAQ's.
Just a reference for next time check out the FAQ's, they really are filled with great info that should be gone over.

Good Luck,
Kyle
