thats right my auto cavy with the gm charger got into the 14s!!
Reaction- .569
60FT - 2.068
330FT- 6.084
1/8 ET- 9.375
1/8 MPH 73.66
1000- 12.273
1/4 ET- 14.743
1/4 MPH- 91.30
man that was sweet. I was prolly the only compact car running in the 14s their that day. Except for a Neon srt4 that was high 14s low 15s. A lot of people were really impressed with the speed of my lil car. Damn this is sweet, i have a really good chance of getting into the 13's with minor boltons now!!
I didnt beat to many cars cause i think i was one of the smallest cars their. But i did beat a mustang 5.0, i scared the crap outa a few other mustangs. I got murdered by a SVT lightning. All in all it was a great night. Oh and just on a side note, last time i was there without the charger i ran a 16.1 best.
Got Boost?

Good run. 14s are good. Need a little work on the reaction times, but looks like you did pretty well.

Why does he need a timeslip? Does it really affect your life enough to be a disbelieving ass? Its not as if hes claiming his car is running 10 seconds or something. Sure a lot of stuff is unbelievable on here but why bother "calling bs" just let it rest. If people want to lie about stuff its not your job to stop it.

uhm...i could be wrong...but isn't a .569 reaction time a lot better than what most people do?? i've seen most people get between .7-1+....isn't .500 perfect? and .499 and under u get a red light?
o n btw Jayson...its accelerator...not excellerator...sorry to sound like an a-hole

if i had a scanner id get you one, but since its so important to you, give me your mailing address and ill mail you one. Also some other times for the night were
14.903@91.67MPH
14.878@90.71MPH
14.880@90.21MPH
14.866@90.70MPH
i just could get the 60s down like i did on my first run of 14.7. All the other ones were 2.1. Also a 2 second 60FT feels really good, the excelleration was like damn i had to remember i was still in my lil cavy. Fun times.
Oh and a perfect reaction time is .000 at my track. I know i suck. But ive only gone twice to the track now.

.5 is not perfect reaction.
As of this year, NHRA tracks are on 00.00 tree regardless of the lights (pro .4 or sportsman .5)
You still have .5 to react on the sportsman tree, but the RT is recorded as of 00.00.
Reactiopn time had nothing to do with ET.
As for this run in question, a 2.0 in 60' is impressive with a FWD car.

Nice time's but 13's with minor bolt on's...I dont know, your only trapping 91mph. Im not sure of your mod's now but I would think you would need lots of tuning, a pulley upgrade, i/h/e maybe some weight reduction to get 13's

I've got about 20 psi of boost. It feels great. Good runs, and nice 60' time.
-Jayson-
09-30-2004, 10:45 PM
well the way i figure it, if 5 PSI took me from a 16.1 to a 14.7, then 8 PSI should allow me to dip into the 13's.

what did your 60's look like with the 16.1? you must have DR's or some type of suspension setup. No way you are hitting 2.0 60's with stock suspension and tires.
-Jayson-

no actually i am. My 60's before the charger was 2.3. The ony thing that really makes the Z24 a decent competitor off the line is its extremly low torque. Im not sure of the numbers now with the charger, but NA i was 155lbs of torque by 2400 RPMS and it was an extremly flat line.
Ill see if i can get the timeslip scanned by my brother or something, if hes ever around.
But i tell you in all honesty i ran a 2.068 60FT, ive been here a decent amount of time and really enjoy these boards, it would be pretty stupid of me to start making up lies now.

Yeah, I know in my car, once you start trapping over 95mph, you need about 10 whp for every 1/10th of a second, but yours is probably different since my car is a lot heavier. The car traps high 90s low 100s and it barely gets into the 13s.

Good deal man, sounds like you had some fun. I don't question anything either, those are perfectly reasonable times. Gotta love boost.

I dont doubt that it is a true story and all It's just a very good 60' for 100% stock...its hard to believe but I geuss you just step on the gas and go. You dont have an suspension modifications at all?
-Jayson-

ill list all the mods i have on the car. IF their are anymore, then they were put on by the previous owner, so i dont know about them.
GM Supercharger, makes 190-200HP at the crank
Upper Engine Mount
Cone Filter
Grouding Wires
Everything else as far as i know is 100% bone stock. Its got Good Year Eagle One RSA Tires that came stock. Stock suspension as well. I ran that time with 35PSI in the front, and 40PSI in the rear.
Maybe the track is just really sticky. Cause even when i brake torque up to 2k or so, my tires only screech for a second and thats it. And afterwards its like the tires are covered in glue cause the car just pulls so hard. Up untill about 75-80MPH where it falls on its face. Also in case you dont know my car is a 4sp automatic as well.
