ok HELP!!!Midas has had my van (95 lumina) since friday. after today he says hes not going to put any more hours in it (already 30), because he said the code read something in the electrical system. he says he has been checking every wire but can't find the prob. we asked about the fuel pump being bad but he said he won't be able to tell until he finds electrical prob. we called today to let him know i tried to pull off drivers side door panel(to fix handle) right before this happened. oh duh! it tries to start but can't . does anyone have a clue what could be wrong? please and thank-you!

Well theres two things that will cause no start. 1) no feul 2) no spark. Get a friend to listen around the back of the van while you turn the key to ON, dont try to start it though. The fuel pump should prime the system and you will hear a whirr or buzz from the general vicinity of the gas tank. If you DO hear the pump then its probably OK. If you dont, the pump is bad, the fuse is blown, or the relay is shot.
If the pump comes on the next thing I would do is check for spark. There are lights you can get at most auto parts stores that you put wrap around one of the plug wires. If there is spark it will pick up a pulse form the wire and the light will flash with the pulse. If no spark you will want to test the ignition module and CPS (crankshaft position sensor).
