well if you want to know...by porting and cutting the head....using a webber carb with factory specs....i hit a 16.87...in the 1/4 mile....now i have msd ignition, blaster coil, ngk racing plugs and wires, gutted the front cat ,2'' piping.....arospeed tail pipe........a couple of more things but cant remember now.....still havent taken it to the track yet.......hoping to do low 16's.......
by the way my cars an 87 4 door ....pretty good to be carbed right.........?
you can use a holly 550 carb....you can find all the spacers and stuff.... dont worry about the hoses you just rip out all of the boxes and plug all the hoses..... once you do this there is a lot more room in the engine bay......... but still!!! thats just me ....you do whatever you like.......just giving an opinion

webers came on lots of stuff. basically any downdraft weber carb will work. a popular one and maybe most logical is the Weber 32/36 downdraft (check out ebay :) ), it will bolts up with little modification

yeah. the only thing i did to mine was swap the throtle link from the old carb, and modified the cable bracket that the car had.....ripped out all the hose boxes, the only things i had to plug were all the little nozzles that come from the intake manifold...... and i took out some plastic thingamagig that was on top of the intake manifold.........the rest is just calibration.........
