need help with oil pan

i have an 83 GSL and i cant figure out how to get the oil pan off the car. i have the pan loose, but i cant get it out from underneath. there is a bar for steering that is in my way and also the frame. im trying to get the steering bar off, but im not having any luck. does any1 know another way to get it out?? any info would be appreciated--thanx

when ive done my 13b swap, i realised i had the wrong oilpan after i had the engine in the engine bay. i removed the oil pickup tube, jacked the engine as high as i could and the pan got out pretty easely.
