Intermittant starting

:banghead:
Simple problem.
1996 Plymouth Voyager
Sometimes it starts (cranks over) - sometimes it doesn't
I can hear the starting relay clicking.
The starter relay still clicks if I am out of park or neutral.
I can jump directly to the starter solenoid and with the key on, she will start.
I suspect it is the neutral/park switch.
Where the heck is that switch?
What else could it be?

The starter relay will not click if the nuetral switch is defective. So I would look at connections or starter.

Try this: put the car in drive and hold your hand on the relay. It will click when you turn the key to the start position.
I can jump directly to the starter solenoid and with the key on, she will start.
The connections to the starter are fine.
I can get it to start now by holding the key to the start position and banging on the dash board left side. LOL
