Just a note,
Chevy Malibus take ceramic brake pads. Any auto parts or dealer place is going to give you there brand. You must specifically ask for the ceramic pads. There is a difference in price (about $15) but saves alot of aggravation.
I have an 01 Malibu, I put regular pads on, within 2 days it was squealing and shaking, have a great Certified mechanic as a friend told me to get the ceramic... changed the pads works like a charm, no noise no dust no shudder... and getting the regular usage out of them. This also worked on our 95 Jeep Cherokee. Many things out there the moneysuckers dont want you to know.. I 100% recommend trying them.

Is there a problem with using ceramic in a colder climate? I live in Iowa and it gets pretty cold here in the winter.
