On the k-series they show how to install the 6spd tranny into a civic si hb. But i'm wondering if I also need the computer from the rsx type s or not ?

Dunno if you need the ECU, but its not geared properly for the K20A3....

(Speaking of the HKS RSX-S), did you see the AEM/Hasport Civic that nearly beat it in the Superfour Challenge. Complete RSX 2.0 and 6-speed tranny at about 350hp. Sir2003, that's the rig you need...

It was black right? Or was it red? But yeah, I remember it.

A K20A2 swap would actually pretty good and doable. Oh, and keep in mind that with the 6MT tranny, you're going to get the chronic grinding problem that all (even me:p) 02-04 owners complain about.

Or maybe even a TSX tranny, dunno about the gearing or compatibility but it has a really nice, and smooth tranny and the 6th gear and final drive will be good for keeping the revs low and increasing a bit of mileage.

And about that, It's a perfect fit and also my acceleration will be better. The ratio on the gears are better on a rsx s

Yeah, I dunno if the TSX tranny is a bolt-on and it has a smaller amount of aftermarket pieces for it.

I've heard that for the K20A3, the 5SPD tranny has the best gearing, and for the K20A2 the 6SPD is better as they both work better for the respective powerbands.....I might be wrong though.
