i got a 97 GSX with 100K miles.. always have taken care of it.. never had a problem before.. anyways.. yesterday wehn i tried to put my car in reverse to take out of my garage.. the gear wouldnt go in reverse completely.. it went halfway so i tried to reverse it like that.. but te car made a werd sound so i put it back in neutral.. then i released the clutch and pressed it again and then reversed and it worked.. but after geting out of reverse to get the car moving the gears got stuck aggin in first.. didnt get stuck in first but it was very hard to put in first. i had to put more pressure to put it in first then what i used to..

there are no problems after the 1st gear.. is there anything major wrong with the car?? lemme know..

1st and reverse are on two seperate shift rails/forks, so I dont think you would have two bad ones. 99.9% chance this is clutch related, not disengaging completely. How close to the floor does the clutch start to move the car? Will it go into reverse and 1st repeatedly with the engine off (1st nuetral, 1st nuetral, etc)?
