This evening was nice. I just got new tires today, so i was itching to see the improvment it made in my launch. I don't know what was different, but it seemed really easy to find races tonight.

First was right out of the Costco Tire Center (where i got my tires). I see this SS Camaro going down the side street. I give it a little rev as he passes me to get his attention, and it works like magic. He gives me the "im going to own you" stare, and i follow him to the CA-99 on ramp assuming he wants a freeway race. But then he passes the ramp right up, and pulls into the left lane of the frontage road and just stomps the gas. I am like 2 cars back from the start, but my car tends to do a lot better from high speed roles, so i just go for it. Within like 1/8 of a mile, I had caught up to him and I am still pulling hard. By about 115 mph, I pass him and give the thumbs up and he takes the next on ramp. This was only the second time that I have beaten an LS-1 so I was pretty excited.

Second was an Eclipse GST turbo. I saw him on a surface street and I could hear his turbo from about 4 cars back. I told my friend, "I want a piece of this guy." I caught up to him and revved my engine. He looked over and pointed forward, so i got behind and followed for about a mile. He got on to I-5 North and there was pretty heavy traffic. It was about 5 pm, and still rush hour. I kept with him until we got out of town, and there was a break. Gave it 3 honks from 70 mph, and we were off. I was instantly 2 cars ahead and i pushed it until 100 mph then shut down. I let him pass me, giving him a wave, then headed back towards town.

Later on I pulled up next to an '88 trans am v8. We exchanged a few words and he asked if i wanted to race. So I said yes, and we went from a dig. It was pretty close through first and second gear, I was about 1/2 a car ahead. By third gear, i was pulling pretty hard and by 80 mph i was 3 cars up and shut down.

Next was this badass Boss 307. It was beautiful. He had a supercharger and some really mean sounding exaust. Probably more too... We raced twice - both from a dig. The first race was short, because it was only like 150 yards to the next light. I was faster than him off of the line, so i beat him to the light. But the second time, we had lots of room, and we both got nice launches. I was ahead by a nose through first gear, but by mid second gear he had easily caught up that distance and through third he was pulling away. My speed was 70 when he shut down. He was about 2 cars ahead. I wanted to see under his hood, but he turned off. I didn't bother to follow him.

Lastly, after I thought I was done racing for the night, i see this EVO XIII turbo. It looked like he had lots of weight reduction. CF Hood, among others. This car suprised the hell out of me. I am running behind him about 4 cars at 35 mph. I hear him showing off his turbo, and then all of the sudden he steps on it. I do the same, expecting to blow his doors off, but amazingly I am not gaing anything on him. We go like this for about 5 blocks and the same distance remained between us. He isn't pulling away at all, but at the same time, I am not catching up. I get up beside him at the next stop light. I commented on how quick he was. He asked if I wanted to go again, so I did. I guess he had some turbo lag issues, because i got about 1 and a half cars on him in first gear, but after that, it was the same thing... dead even for about 4 blocks. So I ended up winning by 1.5 cars. I had no idea that those EVOs were that fast. I gave him his props, and he did the same. We then turned in different directions and I went home.

By the way, whats is ur car and mods? Should really have it in your sig or something so people can compare the cars during the race. To many people to remember all the cars.

I have a stock '92 Corvette. It's not the ZR-1, so I only have the LT-1 not the LT-4.

props for the kills, but i dont see a good death there...a death is my friends '89 CRX with a b18a...racing agianst a '92 mazda B-2200...the lil F*** in the B-2200 got called out thursday night, it was at homecoming foat building...my friend said the title of his car for 500 cash (note: he recently sold his car for 3,000)..the guy pussed out even though he was talking shit earlyer about the scrached 17's on the REX and hot he has a crease in his front fender from me and him being stupid and he had a black hood on a blue car (note: my friend is retarded, as you probably have gathered from the call out...signing over a title agianst 500 cash. he did it to make fun of this gay kid at our school who has carbonfiber simulation hood on his REX) and the guy was saying he has a 302 under the hood (note: you can hear this thing from a mile away...sounds like a low growling whoppi golberg fart...not V8 ass can) and has gone through 3 sets of tires in one year and has beat an STi, 2nd RX-7, Hachi-Roku, supra lift back, and s2000...so anyways after he pusses out we go look at his truck and in the back he has an Apexi Muffler...my friends REX has a POS muffler...so i say 100 and a tank of gas for the apexi muffler...the guy agrees...if he is given 3 car lengths...so we meet in the goodys parking lot later that night...we pull out just in time for a red light...cars back up behind us...im sitting in the passenger seat of the REX and the light on the cross road turns yellow...the REX revs to ~3,500 and you hear the whoppi golberg fart start up...the light turns green and the 2200 launches...wheel hoppin like crazy due to the fact that it was lowered improperly...once his back bumper croses over the cross walk (and by now cars honking) we launch and get a good long squeal from the tires, im watching the tach...not the other car...shifts into 2nd at 6,000...little chirp from the tires in 2nd...shifts in 6,000 agian...next thing i know we are going 70 and the 2200 is about 4 car lenghts behind us..we have gone less than 1/4 a mile and we has the rest of the people about 1 mile down...by the time we cross over everybody his headlights where just two little dots and we have had out emergency lights on for about 3/8 of a mile...but we could still hear the fart going hard and strong so we kept going since the finish line was really where everyone was hanging out...we start braking and the 2200 gets stoped and turned around long before we do...so when we ge back he is taking off...one of our friends is screaming "cach his ass he took off with your muffler with his brother" so we chase him down and the dude gets scared shitless when we box him in with a CRX and a toyota corola (Note: you can relize how slow this truck is since a bone stock '98 carola catches it with 4 people in it) and we run him off the road...dont even talk to him just take all the S*** in his bed of his truck and take off....oh what a night that was....then the next night at the game he comes up appoligising for taking off and wanting a rematch in a bone stock '92 civic hatch...is this guy a moron or what?

great kills. i always wanted to try out an older C4 vette and see how i do. but you guys shoulda ran from a stop. then you will see the true power of the EVO. 0-60 in 4.5 seconds stock with a great driver. assuming hes an okay driver and sounds slightly modded it should be around that time too if he knows what hes doin.
