Help with Roof-Rack

I'm looking into getting a fairing for my 1997 jetta Trek. I'm having trouble finding the right hardware to mount the damn thing on the factory roof-rack(Votex) The load bars are hella big, and the clamps on the thule fairing i looked at were TINY (it was the 871? i think) Anyone got any ideas? is it frankenstien time? or what..
