Busted odometer

I just bought a 2002 Regal from a relative, only to learn the odometer is busted. Does anyone have any idea how to fix that?

does the speedometer work? if not, then it may be a vehicle speed senssor. If it does, you need to take it to a place that repairs instrument clusters.

The speedometer is digital and works fine. The odometer just doesn't work.
